4.8% of citizens unemployed in Miami County in 2021

Miami County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.8% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 793 people out of the 36,100 living in Miami County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Miami County has remained fairly stable compared to the 4.8% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Miami County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.7%.

Of the 15,651 people who had a job during that time, 33 were employed in the Armed Forces and 15,618 belonged to the civilian labor force.
