Permanent Part-Time Position Available At Park Dept
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY - Kirkendall Nature Center
Permanent part-time position available at the City of Kokomo at the Kokomo Parks & Recreation Department for a Curator/Environmental Interpreter. Job duties include but are not limited to the following: basic office skills (answering phones, scanning, email, making copies, etc.), interacting with the public, activity leadership, environmental interpretation, nature program development (assisting), center display development/organization, animal care and enclosure maintenance (reptiles, amphibians, fish), and facility janitorial duties (sweeping, keeping inside restrooms clean, etc.).
Ability to establish effective working relationship with other employees, supervisors, and the public is necessary along with ability to work as a team or alone on projects. Must be dependable, responsible, and willing to learn environmental information presented in the Nature Center. Must be 18 years old or older.
Hours vary as center open hours change with season but are primarily mid-day, afternoons, and weekends.
