Men's Basketball Headed To Georgetown, Ky For Naia First & Second Rounds
Indiana Wesleyan Men's Basketball is headed to Georgetown, Kentucky as the No. 6 seed in the The 2023 NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship First & Second Rounds, presented by Ballogy. No. 3 Georgetown is the pod host with No. 14 Lourdes (Ohio) and IWU's Tuesday opponent, No. 11 MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.), rounding out the four team pod.
The Wildcats will make their 16th NAIA Tournament appearance and 15th consecutive when they hit the court at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, against No. 11 MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.).
No. 11 MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) heads to Georgetown, Kentucky, boasting a record of 20-9. The Pioneers are making their 20th NAIA Tournament appearance and are led by Heart of American First Team duo Ed Wright and Anthony Brown. Wright pours in a team-best 18.6 points-per-game with Brown a very close second with 17.7 points-per-game. Brown also hauls in a team best 8.6 rebounds per-game. The Pioneers are coaches by Adam Hepker and assisted by Brody Bell, Jacob Redding, and former Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats graduate assistant Hudson Welty.
