Pierce Repeats as All-Crossroads League Performer

The Crossroads League announced its 2023 Competitive Cheer All-League honors on Monday, with Taylor's J. Michael Pierce II earning All-CL recognition for the second-straight season.

After becoming the first TU cheer student-athlete to earn All-CL attention with a Second-Team nod last season, Pierce made more history on Monday, this time being named First-Team All-CL and becoming the first athlete in Taylor's young program history to do so.

Pierce was one-of-12 individuals from around the Crossroads League to be named as First-Team All-CL standouts after helping Taylor to its strongest season in three years of existence. The Trojans cracked the NAIA Top-20, finished third at the CL Championships and posted the top six performance scores in program history during the 2023 campaign.

TU is poised to build on that momentum next season, with Pierce and Reagan Smith being the only two seniors departing the young team.
