Habitat For Humanity Seeking Volunteers
Habitat for Humanity of Grant County (Habitat) is seeking volunteers for their current build. To keep costs as low as possible and serve as many families as possible, Habitat heavily relies on volunteers to assist them in building safe and decent homes in Grant County. Volunteering with Habitat can be a great team building event for your business, club, church group, friends, etc. OR you can volunteer as an individual. No matter what your skill level is when it comes to construction, Habitat would be grateful to have you!
Did you know that Habitat Partner Families contribute 200 hours of sweat equity and most of these hours are completed through the construction of their home? This means Habitat Partner Families work alongside volunteers to build their home as a community!
Habitat takes the safety of their volunteers very seriously. Prior to your volunteer day, Habitat will provide you with a short construction safety video. Once you arrive on site hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves will be available for you. While volunteering with Habitat, you will be led by Habitat’s lead contractor who is also certified by Habitat’s construction competence training course.
For more information or to register for a volunteer day, please call (765) 662-1552 or email awhitton@granthabitat.com.
*Please note- Volunteer days are on a first come first served basis*
