Bench Players Lift No. 21 Men's Basketball Over East-West

No. 21 Indiana Wesleyan men's basketball saw 58 bench points Monday, in a 108-56 win over East-West. In his career debut, Caedmon Bontrager racked up 13 points in 18 minutes of action of the bench while adding four rebounds. This weeks Crossroads League Player of the Week freshman Javan Buchanan led all IWU Wildcat scorers with 19 points in 23 minutes.

•    NAIA Top-25 Ranking: IWU - #21 | EWU - Unranked

 

•    IWU opened the contest on a 10-2 run, shooting 4-of-5 from the floor.

•    All 12 Wildcats who played scored in the contest.

•    It wasn't clean for the Wildcats who coughed it up 17 times for a new season high. 

 

•    10 - How many turnovers IWU had at the break

•    17 - IWU's lead after 20 minutes

•    31 - How many assists the Wildcats racked up, the most since November 7, 2015 when they dished 31 out against Great Lakes Chr. (Mich.).

•    Indiana Wesleyan hosts an 8-2 Bethel University squad on Saturday at 3 p.m. Bethel has two NAIA Top-25 wins on the season, and just a three point loss to No. 5 Marian on the road.

•    Incarnate Word (Texas) transfer Drew Lutz leads all Pilots in scoring with 22.8 points-per-game.
