Walkway of Lights Grows and will Once Again Expand into Ballard Field

Walkway of Lights Grows and will Once Again Expand into Ballard Field

As the Walkway of Lights continues to grow with new displays, the route is expanding to east Marion in Ballard Field.

To experience all of the Walkway of Lights displays, including the eleven brand new displays added this year, you may begin at Ballard Field. A map has been created to show the extended route, and a QR code has been generated for quick and easy access to the map and overall information.

Walkway of Lights Committee member, Rose Cadena, explained, “In order for the Walkway of Lights to grow, we have to ‘think outside Matter Park.’ Mayor Alumbaugh suggested we bring the lights back to include Ballard Field so that it would once again be one of the first things you see in Marion if you are entering on State Route 18 from I‑69. The Walkway of Lights QR Code is now out there to hopefully have more people visit the website to get the new route and any information about the Walkway of Lights and related events.”

The toll booth for the Walkway of Lights is still at the same location under the bridge on Matter Park Road, north of Highland Avenue (1 Matter Park Circle, Marion, IN, 46952). The price is again $5 per car per visit, with season passes for unlimited visits offered for $25 at the toll booth during the hours of operation.

To view the new map, scan the QR code or visit walkwayoflights.org. (the map is also attached with this press release)
