Clean Up Kokomo Campaign At Uct Park

Clean Up Kokomo Campaign At Uct Park

The City of Kokomo is starting a "Clean up Kokomo Campaign" in neighborhoods across the city. We're

asking for residents, businesses and churches to partner with us in this endeavor to make Kokomo a

cleaner and safer city in which to live, work and play. It's been proven that a cleaner community helps

assure that all three of those aspects of living are achieved.

The City will provide the supplies (ie. trash bags, gloves, safety vests) to all volunteers who participate

and will pick up the bagged trash and debris from the cleanup areas once it's collected. What we're

asking from the community is to consider volunteering a few hours of your time to help collect the trash

and debris along walking trails, roadways, alleyways, ditches and certain public right of ways in the

designated areas. I believe everyone wants to be proud of where we live, and I believe this is a great

way to demonstrate our community pride by working together to make the environment around us

clean and safe.  All volunteers will receive a day pass to Kokomo Beach!

Those individuals, families and businesses who are interested in assisting us should plan on attending

this "Clean-Up Kokomo Campaign" on July 9th • We will meet at UCT Park located at Kingston & Phillips at

8:30 am. This will be our 2nd neighborhood we've cleaned up as we make our way through the

community in the upcoming weeks and months. We only ask for about a 2-3 hour commitment, so you

will be able to enjoy the rest of your day after helping share your pride and commitment in our

community. Again, gloves, bags and vests will be available at the park when you arrive. Come dressed

for work and then be prepared to step back when we're through and see the difference we will make.
