Council Approves Flint Creek Development Area Annexation

The Huntington City Council completed the final procedural steps during its regular meeting on Tuesday morning to annex the Flint Creek Development Area.

Ordinance 9-C-22 annexing the area, consisting of about 59.85 acres north of U.S. 24 adjacent to Parkview Hospital, goes into effect on August 15, 2022.

The land will be zoned B2-Business and added to City Council District 1.

City Council had received a petition for voluntary annexation on May 10, 2022. A public hearing was held two weeks later on May 24.
