City of Kokomo recently issued the following announcement.
VOLUNTEER TO HELP KEEP KOKOMO BEAUTIFUL
Founded in 2015, the Kokomo Beautiful initiative invites residents and organizations in Howard County to take ownership of our community by planting flowers, maintaining public garden areas, and removing trash and debris from our community trails.
The Alliance spearheads this initiative through partnerships with the City of Kokomo, Dave Lybrook of The Garden, Howard County and Sunbelt Rentals.
Keep Kokomo Beautiful events are free and open to everyone, so bring your family, friends, neighbors and coworkers along and help the Alliance keep Kokomo beautiful for years to come! (Some activities may have age requirements for certain tasks.)
This year’s events have been announced and we are currently accepting volunteer sign ups.

Flower Basket Planting: Thursday, April 7
Annual Planting Day: Saturday, May 14
Container & Alley Planting: Wednesday, May 18
Garden & Trail Day: Saturday, July 16
