Cost of college went up for all students at Indiana Wesleyan University-Marion

Tuition and fees rose 2.5 percent for 2018-19 at Indiana Wesleyan University-Marion, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Indiana students paid $26,630 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $650 more than the $25,980 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 96 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 749 students received grants or scholarships totaling $12.9 million and 494 students took out student loans totaling more than $3.8 million.

Including all undergraduates (3,188), 2,335 students used grants or scholarships totaling $42.1 million, and 1,606 students took out $10.6 million in federal student loans.
