Taylor University issued the following announcement on Mar 3
An international gathering described as “the premiere Inklings conference on the planet” will take place on the campus of Taylor University in June.
Taylor University’s 12th biennial C.S. Lewis and Friends Colloquium is scheduled June 4-7, 2020, and features some of the world’s leading scholars on writers such as C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Dorothy L. Sayers (known as “The Inklings”), and George MacDonald comprise the conference’s keynote speakers. In addition, there will be numerous presentations of new research and creative work by participants.
Conference organizers say all are welcome and promise “something for every level of scholar,” as one regular attendee remarked. Along with scholarly paper presentations and keynote talks, the conference features poetry readings, dramatic performances, art exhibits, workshops, panels, and a banquet and concert reception. Another mainstay of the conference is a pop-up bookstore specializing in the conference’s distinguished authors.
All attendees must register for the conference. For complete information about the Colloquium as well as the special opportunities for undergraduate students please visit: https://library.taylor.edu/cslewis/2020-colloquium.
